Sony’s February 2026 State of Play has concluded, delivering a massive wave of updates for the PS5, including major first-party surprises, long-awaited remakes, and significant third-party announcements. The showcase provided fresh looks at titles like Saros and Marathon, alongside unexpected expansions for the God of War franchise and long-requested ports.

The event was packed with high-profile reveals that dominated the conversation. Key announcements included the surprise launch of the 2D action game God of War: Sons of Sparta and the reveal that a God of War Trilogy Remake is currently in early development. Additionally, Saber Interactive confirmed an untitled John Wick game is in the works, while Marathon announced an open preview weekend kicking off on February 26.
Fans of classic franchises have plenty to celebrate: Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse was unveiled by Evil Empire and Motion Twin, a sequel to Kena: Bridge of Spirits was confirmed, and Ghost of Yotei Legends is set to arrive next month as a new co-op DLC.
