Warhorse Studios has addressed rumors regarding a potential Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3 during a recent Reddit AMA, offering a cryptic response that has left fans speculating about the developer’s future projects.

The Mystery Behind the Next Project
During a community Q&A session, developers from the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 team fielded numerous questions about the potential continuation of Henry’s saga. When pressed directly on whether a third installment is in development, studio content director Ondřej Bittner provided a deliberately ambiguous answer: “There are plans in motion. Plans for immersive RPG. Hope that eases your mind.”
The response triggered a polarized reaction within the community. While some fans interpreted the statement as a formal greenlight for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3, others noted that Bittner’s comment confirms the development of an “immersive RPG” without explicitly identifying it as the next chapter in the Kingdom Come franchise.
Rumors of a Middle-Earth Connection
The ambiguity is fueled by earlier industry reports suggesting that Warhorse Studios might be working on a AAA Lord of the Rings RPG. Given that the studio’s parent company, Embracer Group, holds the rights to the Middle-Earth franchise, rumors have persisted that the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) funneled approximately $100 million into this project.
When asked about the Lord of the Rings speculation, the studio remained tight-lipped, reiterating only that they are focused on creating another immersive RPG. This non-committal stance is standard procedure for developers bound by legal non-disclosure agreements, leaving the studio’s long-term roadmap open to interpretation.
What Lies Ahead for Warhorse Studios?
While Kingdom Come: Deliverance remains the breakout hit that established Warhorse Studios as a major player, it remains unclear if a third entry is the studio’s immediate priority. Bittner further addressed the timeline for their next reveal, stating he “personally cannot wait” for the announcement, but could only commit to a “near future” timeframe, noting that his hands were tied regarding further details.
In the same thread, the studio also touched upon its development practices, clarifying that AI is used only during the “early stages of production.” Addressing concerns regarding personnel, the team stated that they “do not see AI as a substitute for human work,” though they stopped short of addressing specific allegations regarding the replacement of translators.
