Roblox has officially opened the beta phase for its new 4D creation feature, marking a significant expansion in the platform’s AI-driven development toolkit for game designers.
Advancing AI-Powered World Building
The company is actively scaling its suite of tools designed to simplify game development through artificial intelligence. Central to this initiative is a project internally labeled as “real-time dreaming.” As Roblox CEO David Baszucki explained last month, this technology aims to empower creators to generate immersive 3D worlds by utilizing simple keyboard navigation combined with real-time text prompts.
Strategic Focus Amid Safety Initiatives
The release of this open beta follows a period of heightened scrutiny regarding platform safety. Recently, Roblox implemented mandatory facial verification for users seeking to access in-game chat features. This policy shift was a direct response to various investigations and legal challenges concerning child safety on the platform.
