Global Compensation and Launch Adjustments

In an official statement on X (formerly Twitter), the development team expressed gratitude to the global audience for their patience during the game’s opening days. This move aligns the global version of the game with the compensation strategy previously announced for the Chinese release.

“Since the servers went live, we’ve received an incredible amount of feedback and suggestions from you,” the post stated. “The team is actively looking into them, and we’ll continue to follow your feedback closely while rolling out fixes and improvements.”

How to Claim Your Free Rewards

To qualify for these rewards, players simply need to unlock the in-game mail function, a process that requires minimal time investment. The following items will be distributed to all players who log in before the conclusion of version 1.0:

  • April 30: 1,600 Annulith, the premium currency used for gacha banner pulls.
  • May 3: A free S-class standard character selector, allowing players to choose one baseline character for their roster.

Current Game Performance and Reception

While launch-day technical hurdles are common in the gacha genre, Neverness to Everness has maintained solid ratings across platforms. The title currently holds a 4.2-star rating on Google Play with over 1 million downloads and a 4.6-star rating on the App Store. On PlayStation 5, the game maintains a 4.3-star rating, though reports suggest the PC version offers the most stable performance.

Urban Exploration vs. Familiar Tropes

The game distinguishes itself from other open-world action RPGs by emphasizing urban exploration, driving mechanics, and slice-of-life elements like dating, alongside its core combat systems. Despite early success, some players have noted common criticisms, including concerns over the protagonist’s personality, limited romance depth, and occasional performance inconsistencies. However, the game has been praised for avoiding the common “50/50” gacha loss frustration.

Players looking to bolster their resources can also redeem current Neverness to Everness codes. Additionally, fans should note that Neverness to Everness remains distinct from the project often referred to as the “anime GTA,” Ananta, which does not utilize gacha mechanics.
