Developer Rebel Wolves and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment officially announced that the highly anticipated RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker will launch on September 3, 2026, following a reveal during the “Road to Launch” livestream on April 28.

A New Look at Hybrid Combat and Visuals
The livestream provided a fresh glimpse into the game’s development, marking its first major showcase in nearly eight months. The presentation highlighted significant progress in the title’s hybrid human-daywalker combat mechanics and showcased substantial upgrades to visual fidelity, signaling that the studio is fine-tuning the experience ahead of its autumn debut.
Entering a Competitive RPG Landscape
The Blood of Dawnwalker is scheduled to arrive during a crowded window for the genre. It will face stiff competition from high-profile titles such as Playground Games’ Fable reboot, Beast of Reincarnation (August 4), and Phantom Blade Zero (September 9). To stand out, Rebel Wolves is banking on a unique open-world structure where every player choice triggers meaningful, far-reaching consequences that ripple throughout the narrative.

Veterans Aiming for Excellence
The project is an ambitious undertaking for Rebel Wolves, but the studio’s pedigree provides a strong foundation for success. The team is comprised of former CD Projekt Red veterans, including the game director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and key quest designers who shaped both The Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077.
Hands-On Impressions Coming Soon
With the release date set for September, the wait for the final product is nearing its end. During a recent visit to the Rebel Wolves headquarters in Poland, game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz indicated that media outlets are expected to go hands-on with the game as early as June. This will provide the first direct look at how the title performs and feels for players.
