New Support Platform and Ongoing Fixes

To assist the game’s massive community of players, the studio has launched a dedicated Windrose Support site. This portal allows users to browse detailed solutions for known issues or submit reports for specific technical problems they encounter.

Kraken Express acknowledged that the tool is in its early stages, noting that players might encounter minor bugs while using the platform. For the time being, the support site is available in English only, though the team plans to refine and expand the system as it gains real-world usage.

In a move to streamline communication, the developers are disabling similar support functionality on their Discord server. The team believes this shift to a centralized platform will make the troubleshooting process significantly more efficient for both the developers and the player base.

Performance Patch Incoming

While major content expansions are on hold, a fresh patch is currently in the testing phase and is slated for release later this week. This update aims to address several technical pain points, including connectivity stability, high CPU and disk usage, general performance optimization, and various minor glitches.

The Future of Windrose: Evolution Over Expansion

Addressing questions about when the first major expansion will arrive, Kraken Express clarified their current development philosophy. Rather than simply adding new biomes or static content, the team is focusing on enriching existing gameplay systems to ensure the game evolves in depth as well as scale.

The studio stated that their development goals are highly ambitious, necessitating a development cycle of at least six months for the next major update. While this timeline may seem extensive, the developers maintain that this period is essential to ensure the upcoming expansion meets the necessary quality standards.

The Windrose community has remained vocal throughout the game’s early access, recently praising the development team for their decision to avoid implementing item durability—a feature frequently criticized by survival game fans as a tedious mechanic.
